Take a day trip back in time and see Thailand as it was before the tourism. Ang Thong National Marine Park is perfectly located for day trips from Koh Samui, Koh Tao and Koh Phangan. Mu Ko Ang Thong National Marine Park is renowned for inspiring Alex Garland to write “The Beach” which was adapted into the famous film featuring Leonardo DiCaprio.

Comprising 42 islands with looming limestone cliffs jutting dramatically out of the water, thick pristine jungle hiding secret lagoons and paradise beaches, you’ll soon see how this paradise influenced Garland and got his creative juices flowing. With so many islands working with the right boat charter company will see you avoiding the crowds and getting to enjoy the park almost all to yourself. Visit Talay Nai and the Emerald Lake, known as the “Blue Lagoon” from “The Beach” then head back to find some good snorkelling grounds near Ko Wao.

5 star ratingFantastic Private Boat Trip to Ang Thong National Park We had an absolutely brilliant day exploring Ang Thong National Park and could not have asked for a better experience. A huge thank you to George, our guide, who was excellent throughout the trip. He was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us a fantastic snorkelling tour, pointing out all sorts of marine life and making sure everyone in the family had a great time.

Mark, our captain, and Jo were also superb. Mark’s boat manoeuvring was particularly impressive – especially when he carefully moored alongside other boats at lunchtime with complete precision. It made everything feel very relaxed and professional.

The team took us to some incredible beaches where we were the only people there, which made the day feel really special. Seeing dolphins along the way was another highlight and something we will not forget.

George, Mark and Jo were extremely attentive all day and nothing was too much trouble. They made the whole trip effortless and enjoyable from start to finish.

We would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone visiting the area – a truly memorable day out.

I will do everything I can to book again! We booked the 71ft catamaran for a hen/staguette party and it was perfect. Trampolines, awesome food, and great sailing. Perfect venue for a party. We were 15 but it could comfortably accommodate 30 for a proper party. Arrive job and early to fit in the entire allotted sailing time. Fantastic!
