What is the weather like around Koh Samui?

We advise our guests to not rely on mobile phone Weather Apps. They can often be insufficiently detailed and inaccurate. Please ask us for advice, we are happy to explain and help you understand.

It’s important to appreciate that when we have wind and waves on one side of the island, the other side can be calm and flat!

Below is Windy.com which provides a good idea of wind conditions as these have the greatest effect on boating. Below that is a list of links to local weather stations and a Koh Samui weather almanac to help build a picture. This is nature though and we will not guarantee anything.

A huge thank you to George, our guide, who was excellent throughout the trip. He was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us a fantastic snorkelling tour, pointing out all sorts of marine life and making sure everyone in the family had a great time.



Mark, our captain, and Jo were also superb. Mark’s boat manoeuvring was particularly impressive – especially when he carefully moored alongside other boats at lunchtime with complete precision. It made everything feel very relaxed and professional.



The team took us to some incredible beaches where we were the only people there, which made the day feel really special. Seeing dolphins along the way was another highlight and something we will not forget.



George, Mark and Jo were extremely attentive all day and nothing was too much trouble. They made the whole trip effortless and enjoyable from start to finish.



We would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone visiting the area – a truly memorable day out.

						We had an amazing time during our 2 day and 1 night charter boat trip! Chris was exceptional through the booking process and helped us navigate a variety of hurdles. The boat crew - Dome, Wut, and Ahrm (spelling?) - made the experience beyond memorable. All three genuinely wanted the best for us and were extremely thoughtful every step of the way. When we return to Thailand, we most definitely will book with them again!

						We stayed in Koh Samui for 7 days in February and we had a great time with a private charter with Samui Luxury Boats. My husband and I do private catamaran charters frequently and I will say this was one of the better experiences we’ve had. It was just the two of us and we had two staff members plus the captain making sure we had everything we needed and more. We like places that are “out of the way” and we asked to go to quiet spots while we were island hopping. They didn’t disappointment. We had lunch at a magical treehouse on the beach, swam in a remote lagoon, and paddle boarded and swam with fish throughout the day. They even timed sunset perfectly on our sail home. The boats aren’t run down like lots of other boats in the tropics. We visit Belize a lot and most of the boats there need some maintenance, which is hard to do on a small island, but this company does it right and keeps the boats well kept and stocked. Highly recommend!

						We had great day going to Anthong Marine Park with Samui Luxury Boats. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable. The captain and crew  planned the day to avoid crowed spots and made special changes to our course when they spotted a whale in the distance.

Chris and the team were fantastic — so friendly, professional and made everything effortless. The boat was perfect and spacious, the staff were wonderful, the food was amazing, and the personal bartender was such a fun touch.

									Private boat trip to Ang Thong Marine National Park By far the best experience I've had for a private boat trip. From handling enquires, booking and payment and the boat trip itself is seamless. This is definitely a highlight of my holiday in Koh Samui. Thank you to Chris, Victor and his entire team for making this happen. I will definitely recommend their private boat company to anyone looking for a fun boat trip outing. Don't bother looking any where else. I've found the best boat charter in Koh Samui.

									We chartered a 65-foot motor yacht, and the experience was terrific! Chris and his team are very well organised, and every attention is given in the planning of the trip and sharing weather reports. The boat was very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The Captain and crew were friendly and fun, and nothing was too much effort for them! They went out if their way to make out trip exciting and memorable. We had never caught fish before, but on our trip, we caught over 20 fish on light tackle fishing rods. A lot of fun and most enjoyable! The snacks were delicious and the drinks ice ciold. The scenery  and tropical islands were breathtaking! We were picked up from our hotel and driven to and from the pier where to boat was moored. I highly recommend contacting Chris at Samui Luxury Boat if you want to enjoy a memorable, world-class boating experience in beautiful Thailand!
